Vision Board- Manifest Your Future
I had the pleasure of attending the She x Shine Vision Board event this last Saturday at Bok in South Philly, it was my first time at the space and I cannot wait to go back to the rooftop bar this Spring. And by the way when I say attending I mean I purchased a ticket to a work shop to support other local boss babes because that is what you do to network and support other entrepreneurs in your area!! She x Shine is the vision of two lovely ladies Alex & Anna Laura, check out their instagrams and blogs!
This is going to be an over arching theme to the blog this year as I am forcing myself to consistently do this no matter how uncomfortable I feel going some place alone or trying a new activity I have never thought about attempting before. My number one piece of advice to anyone out there wanting to network or simply further their own personal communication skills PUT YOURSELF OUT THERE- even when you are afraid or feel most vulnerable these are the times you will be shocked how you can relate to others, they are feeling the same nerves you are!
This event was filled with all the bubbly mimosas, delicious cupcakes, and a great time chatting with like minded, go getter women in the Philly community and surround areas. I was able to get my make up done by an amazing local make up artist Sarah Elizabeth-Face, check out her Instagram she was amazing. Then shot some photos with the beautiful Anna Laura from Sommer Photo Co (no worries these shots will be shared soon!). Finalized the event by making a vision board all about the places I want to travel to in the next year or two, along with the self care & living in the moment intentions I have been trying to manifest into my daily routines. Because if you aren’t doing things for you, really why are you doing them? I am not here to please anyone else but to meet my own personal goals & hopefully make some friends along the way. I was able to meet Becca from Bunch of BS and it was awesome to again meet some amazing woman in real life I had be Instagram messaging with for a couple weeks! Check her blog out here!
It was so empowering once again to be in a room of so many people who want to see each other succeed. Having switched up work environments in the last three months that has also been the most rewarding thing about my new office. It is rare in a work or professional environment to be surrounded day after day by people who want to build you up to help you get to where they are because they remember the struggle of where you are when you first start something. I have been blessed to be emerged into this environment not only at work now day after day but also by this wonderful community of women I have found in Philly to connect with and share all the blogging tips and tricks.
I am no expert by any means but I have felt as though I have learned SO much these past few months on ways to connect with others, and grow your blog! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions of your own starting a new blog venture, how to network in your area, or social media questions!
Some amazing sponsors including Pinot Wine Bar and my favorite The Geisha House!! Many more too! It was truly an amazing event!!!
