Feeling Blessed

Just when you think life can't get any better, it just seems to surprise you. I spent my "weekend" (Monday and Tuesday) at my mom's house in State College. It was filled with all the things I love family, crafts, and the animals! My mom and I made these awesome moss ball plant things with succulents in them called Kokedama's. Also she and I painted some root starter jars, they are stinking adorable. She is selling both items at the Nittany Mall at the Emporium Market, where the old PacSun was. Check out her new blog adventure Denise's Dream for some totally uplifting, self-healing, positive vibes.  There is nothing like being at home with the ones you love.

Then came back to work Wednesday morning to be surprised with the Nordstrom All-Star award. I am still on cloud nine after winning this prestigious award, it's truly an honor to work beside Joanne. If you follow Carlita's Closet on Instagram you saw my heart felt post Friday about my bond with her professionally and personally. There are many things I will take away from my experiences at Nordstrom someday but one thing that I will always be the most blessed with is the second family I've gained. I moved to Philadelphia almost 4 years ago and didn't know a single person, all my girlfriends were still in college, and I was one of the first in my family to ever move away from State College. It was honestly the most terrifying leap I have ever took in life but looking back I wouldn't change a thing because I know God works in mysterious ways and everything truly happens for a reason whether we like it or not.
