2018 In Review
January- We rang in the New Year last year with Pretty Lights at the Fillmore! I was so excited to take Spencer to his first rave! Then we got to spend a long weekend in Aspen with his company for their Christmas gift. It was amazing, check out my guide here.
February- Honestly I hate winter, so shooting for me gets so hard! Luckily the Eagles won the Super Bowl and I had something to do in February. I even took the day off to attend the crazy parade in the city which was so much fun to be apart of history!!
March- Just my favorite outfit that month, I started getting back on the track with blogging and really dedicating time to what made ME happy and what was going to help ME achieve my goals. I am such a people pleaser this was hard lesson for me to learn but one of the best I will be taking into 2019. No one is going to be a bigger advocate for you than you.
May- a nice yearly trip to Longwood Gardens with my love. Catch the full blog post here! Also my mom got to meet Joanne my work mom and it was everything I ever imagined it would be, they loved each other. My mom also hosted a girls night essential oils class where we made inhalers and roll ons of different essential oil mixtures while learning about their benefits!!! Check out that blog post here I will definitely be hosting another in 2019.
June- ah this was the month spent full of relaxing before working like crazy during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. The beach for a week, a NYC trip which included my first time to the High Line and Chelsea Market. Topped off with a rainy date night at the Philly Rail Park, so many adventures with Spencer that just kept continuing through the summer!
July- A sweet short trip home to State College for the 4th of July! Then worked the Anniversary sale at Nordstrom and hit some record breaking numbers with Joanne, being the best boss ever she gifted me a chloe mini faye. Needless to say I have gotten my cost per wear on this bag, find it linked on my Liketoknow.it page.
August- We put an offer in on our house and the home buying journey began! We could not be more blessed as we love our little old construction home that has been well loved by every owner just like it will be by us. Not to mention we have the sweetest neighbors in the world that gave us home made cookies and candies for Christmas this year! I also attended a discussion hosted by Salaah of Salaah’s corner, check out his awesome blog and podcast here. As well as met Lindsey from The Fashionably Broke Teacher in real life at work and totally fan girled for a photo op.
October- I also attended a Kendra Scott event that benefited Bringing Hope Home! I made an awesome necklace with a caterpillar that represented new beginnings, a week later I was offered a new job, things work in mysterious ways. Check the necklace details in this post from the fall.
2018 was filled with twist and turns and all I learned was that everything truly does happen for a reason. I am spending the evening ringing in 2019 with Spencer and the pups, we may venture out to a local bar but I hope to be back in our house by midnight to watch the ball drop in the comfort of our living room. I hope you all are spending the night exactly how you wish whether it be going out or staying in. I am setting goals so big for 2019 they scare me but that tells me my dreams are just big enough.
