Happy Monday Lovelies! Wow I cannot believe how fast December is flying by, and I don’t even have a quarter of my shopping and crafting for the holidays done yet. I will be hitting the pedal to the metal this weekend to get ish done because time is literally slipping out of my hands it feels! I said this to a friend a couple weeks ago but truly the older I get the faster time flies, it’s crazy and really reinforces my grateful attitude to be thankful for everyday good & bad. This last week was extremely productive at the new job, celebrating with old friends, & meeting so many Philly blogger babes at TWO extremely fun brunches. So I am not so terribly upset with myself that I fell behind in my blog post schedule because I simply took time to enjoy where I was at and what I was doing!
But now back to your regularly scheduled programming as I am committing (and please one of you hold me to it!), I am going to give you at least 3 new posts this week! Winter is a difficult time of the year to get dressed, especially when you are waking up before the sun rises and coming home after the sun sets. I am loving this new job so far but I am definitely still getting used to my schedule adjustment, trying to get used to early mornings & trying desperately to fall asleep earlier. Like right now should be my bed time but I am still used to later nights and wanting to sleep in. So I have been trying to get better at planning my outfits the night before so getting ready is easier and mindless in the morning while I am all groggy.
I am also still trying to really understand the business casual concept but so far I think I have been doing well, mainly because no one at work has told me I dress inappropriately haha. This look is something I could definitely wear on one of our casual Fridays. I love styling this Zara suede duster I scored for $99.90! I have tried to find it on their site but was unsuccessful although I did link some similar ones above. This outfit is the perfect simple outfit for me to wear; challenging my concept of not wearing at least one printed thing everyday. As I get older I still love my bohemian, hippie ways but am also gaining an appreciation for the basics. This was shot in my mom’s plant room which is total goals and she is definitely the reason I have grown a green thumb and can keep plants alive now. My tiny little plant corner which you have probably seen in my Insta stories or in my old apartment is completely inspired by this sun room of hers.
I am really excited to manifest things I want to get done this week and share with you all next week some of my favorite DIY gifts and local vendors, if you need last minute gift ideas still! Also trying to plan to holiday party outfits this week as we have both Spencer and my’s office parties coming up next week!! Any suggestions??
