Make It Personal Gift Guide!

Okay so I am new to this whole actually trying to plan out my content thing and I noticed how many bloggers do gift guides so I felt obligated! However mine is not going to be your usual gift guide because I truly think gifts should be personal. I hate nothing more than a gift bought with no effort and/or thought to what that person loves or needs!!

So I am going to share some tips I use when thinking of what to craft or buy for a certain person in the family(and trust me my family is very different and particular to each person so this way not pertain to you in anyway but I hope it gets your wave lengths going on what your family could use or find thoughtful):

MOM- So my mother is very much appreciative of anything you make her, or write her. As I often wrote her poems as a child and should tap back into this an adult because I do love writing. She is also very grounded and loves all nature related things as she loves using essential oils, crystals to heal. Also camping is one of her favorite past times with my niece and nephews. I will either make her something or chose something very sacred to give her.

DAD-For my step dad he could appreciate nothing more than a case of beer (he is a very simple man). But if I am trying to think of something personal he is a hard working man, roofing is his profession so he loves companies like Duluth for work gear, and that always comes in handy. Another thing we could make for him is a collage of family photos as he loves seeing myself and the grandchildren he has helped raise.

BROTHERS- Mine are two very different people so they are probably the hardest to shop for. One is a wild soul who loves all things rock and roll, and old school movie related. The other is a survivalist, who would be ready for the Zombie Apocalypse if it started tomorrow. I try to make both of their gifts something they would actually put into use of the next year.

SISTERS (or girlfriends who are like sisters for me)- I love to pamper them and remind them of special moments together! These gifts are usually the most inexpensive and most personal for me!! I will usually craft most of the gift and then purchase something small to add to it. I am most known for my home made photo frames. I also love to share my mom’s passion for essential oils and self pampering!

FURRY FRIENDS- I am all over Pinterest for this one! I love baking my doggies a treat they are sure to enjoy into the new year. Catch my favorite recipe here and give me a follow on Pinterest! Of course I buy them a couple toys too! Tonight we shot our Christmas card family photo and the dogs of course were in it and dressed to the nines!

SIGNIFICANT OTHER- Well this one is completely up to you, do something that shows you really love them. My boyfriend is obsessed with spider-man and WWE so I love entertaining his childhood and encouraging this young at heart vibe he has always had. Now that we have our forever home (for now) I am so ready to spoil him with things he will be proud to display.
